Deep Insight Report on the helical gear industry-Regulatory policies

4.1 Industry Standards and Specifications
As an important mechanical transmission component, helical gears have strict standards and specifications in the industry to ensure product quality.
In terms of strength, due to the fact that helical gears need to bear the power of the entire machine during use, higher strength is a key factor in ensuring their load-bearing capacity. Industry standards require the use of high-strength raw materials, such as alloy steel that meets hardness and strength standards, in the production process of helical gears. Generally speaking, the strength of helical gears should be able to adapt to various complex working environments, whether in high-speed and heavy-duty transportation fields or in harsh industrial production environments, they can stably transmit power.
In terms of accuracy, various precision instruments require high precision. As a transmission device, the accuracy of helical gears directly affects the smoothness of power output and avoids serious collisions. The basic parameters of helical gears, including modulus, number of teeth, pressure angle, tooth width, etc., have strict standard ranges. Among them, modulus refers to the ratio of gear teeth to diameter, which is one of the important parameters of helical gears. The number of teeth and pressure angle determine the meshing performance and transmission efficiency of the gear. The tooth width directly affects the load-bearing capacity and transmission stability of gears. Industry standards usually classify the accuracy levels of helical gears into six levels, from high to low, namely levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The higher the precision level, the better the machining accuracy and transmission performance of helical gears.
Corrosion resistance is also one of the important quality standards for helical gears. Many large mechanical equipment need to be used in harsh environments, and if the material's anti-corrosion performance is poor, it is likely to rust or corrode during use. Industry standards require helical gears to have high corrosion resistance, for example, by using special coatings or material processing techniques to improve the corrosion resistance of helical gears. In the hardness testing standards for lubrication equipment helical gears, applicable standards such as GB/T 3098.3-2010, GB/T 9443-2008, GB/T 2812-2006, etc. are clearly defined. These standards can accurately evaluate the hardness performance and quality of helical gears, and also have certain requirements for their anti-corrosion performance.
In addition, the country has successively introduced multiple policies to encourage the development and innovation of the gear industry. The industrial policies such as the "14th Five Year Plan for the Development of Robot Industry", "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of High quality Manufacturing Enterprises", and "Development Plan for New Energy Vehicle Industry 2021-2035" provide clear and broad market prospects for the development of the gear industry, and also put forward higher requirements for the quality and technological innovation of helical gears. At the same time, some provinces and cities have also issued relevant policies for the gear industry to promote its transformation and upgrading, providing strong policy support for the development of the helical gear industry.
